Strolling around

I need a proper holiday! I haven't had one in ages. 

I took these pictures about one month ago right after Easter in one of my favourite places on Earth, Transylvania (honestly, it really is a slice of heaven). I have to admit there's nothing more relaxing that strolling around the streets of an old town in comfortable shoes and stuffing yourself with delicious food. And yes, this is how you enjoy life to the fullest.

Excuse My Idleness

I'm back my darlings and this time I will stay longer. I am still thinking I haven't started blogging at the right time. Back in my high school years and before Royal Allure I had another blog, this one to be more accurate, and I was writing more about fashion than personal style. Unfortunately, I've never had enough time: high school, applications, exams, then university with its responsibilities and duties. It's a pity we don't invest more time in our hobbies and passions. Everyone completely agrees with the old saying 'Do what makes you happy!' but do we really apply this? 

My intention is not to get philosophical in this little post. But, at the end of your studies, sooner or later you evaluate the things you've done in the last three years and start thinking of how many books you could have read, how many museums you could have visited, how many amazing places you could have discovered or how many jars of Nutella you shouldn't have eaten writing those essays etc. Of course, everyone needs education and good jobs, but at the same time we need to satisfy the desires of our young souls.

Having said that, I took these pictures in one of my favourite places on the face of the Earth, Transylvania. I couldn't wait for some serious spring weather in order to wear my favourite blazer. Those of you who are already following Royal Allure on facebook may know that I'm quite obsessed about sharp-tailored clothing and clean cuts. I also fell deeply in love with men's wear inspired items. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a chic lady at heart, but sometimes it's good to think outside the box, get out of your comfort zone and try something new.
