Happy New Year

Firstly, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year! and all the best for 2014. Did you make any resolutions? I did my homework and my fashion resolutions consist in buying more high quality products and timeless classy items.
Having said that, I will talk about my outfit. I spent my New Year's Eve at my boyfriend's house with his family and some friends. I wore this dress which I initially bought for Christmas. If you follow me on Facebook you probably remember it (see picture below to refresh your memory). This dress is quite magic: makes me look a bit curvy. haha.
I have to point out that I would have worn a pair of pumps with it and not this pair of ankle boots. Unfortunately, I had a bruise on my feet which was quite unaesthetic and I had to cover it.

P.S. Sorry about the pictures' low quality. I didn't think I would post them when we took them.

Enjoy!
x

dress over dress

Like every person living in England I have a neverending problem that is not going to be solved very soon: complaining about the unpredictable weather. It may sound weird, but I actually love rainy days. What I dislike the most is wind. Since my eyes are quite sensitive they get tearful really easy in cold windy days. This is the main reason why in most of the pictures I'm struggling to keep my eyes open.
Having said that, I will start talking about my outfit. I was looking into my closet and I've seen this hot pink coat dress and realised that I wore it only twice and ages ago. So, I decided to wear it as a coat over another dress. Everything else is black because I wanted to make this lovely pink shade stand out. In the end I was pleased with the result. What do you think about it?

Boots: Kurt Geiger (remember them from this post?)

Little Red Coat

When I found this red coat inspired by the iconic British royal guards' uniform I knew it would warm and colour my winter. Its shape gives the outfit a ladylike allure. Or it makes me look like a ladybug, but this is another story. For me, it's like the equivalent of a little black dress:  there's no need for remarkable accessories to complete it. Matched with a pair of black leather ankle boots and a small clutch creates a simple but still elegant look.
