CHANGES

Knock, knock! Is anyone still there? ... I am happy to let you know that I finally found some well-need time to start blogging properly. I mean it! And this time it won't be just for friends and family.
2014 was one hell of an year and I can fairly say that this was the year of major changes. In the first six months and my very last semester of university, my craziness reached its highest peak. Seriously, I was going M.A.D.!!! For those who're wondering why, I'll name a few of the reasons: essays, exams, my major project, rehearsals, performances, presentations, voluntary work, dissertation and countless sleepless nights... need I say more? Graduates will understand. But, the most important thing is that I fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams: I graduated! I made it away from home, in a wonderful foreign country that I can proudly call it my second home.
The other half was full of big challenges, disappointments and changes. Highs and lows, joy and tears, this big bunch of diverse experiences taught and guided me to the path that I am following today. It all may sound cheesy, but this is the transition period that all graduates encounter sooner or later. We're all locked up in a little bubble during our education years and when it bursts we're thrown away into the real world. It's like an unexpected cold shower: shocking, challenging, yet so refreshing and good!
I finally have time for myself to think clear and focus on my priorities!
And yes, blogging is one of them, this time I'll take it to a whole new level. I have hundreds of pictures to show you that I never got the chance to post and so much more.
No more: daydreaming and failed attempts to blog.
For now, I'll post some photos from my Instagram diary including lovely places,

flowers, sweets, shoes and other girly things

and, of course, the unavoidable selfies...

P.S. I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR filled with health, wealth and joy!

And always be kind!

Back to Basics

BOILING HOT DAYS. When you're melting, screaming for some fruity  and fresh ice cream is understandable. Well, I'm not complaining, not at all! I was craving for these kind of days when I can just slip in a sundress and I'm ready to go. It seemed that this simple and comfy cami black dress, yet chic for an afternoon-to-evening outfit was a good choice for hanging around and going for ice cream. I added some gold accessories here and there to add that discrete glam touch and VoilĂ !

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Dior, Obsessions and Possessions

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who discovered the wonders of make up. With her curiosity bigger than a cat's: the more she discovered, the more she wanted to find out its mysterious tips and tricks. Little did she knew about the miracles of Dior make up products at that time, but once they met she instantly fell in love. Oh, Dear!  Oh, Dior! And since they have such a close relationship, she pays visits and tries new products with the help of the wonderful make up artists  wizards.
Back to the real world, a few weeks ago I was invited by the local Dior team to try some products from this seasons' make up collection. As you may have noticed, I always aim for a natural look. Recently, I have discovered and fell in love with the wonders of highlighting and contouring and I'm currently perfecting my 'technique' (if you can call it so). I'm currently using Diorskin Nude Tan powder and Dior Glow Maximiser.
*see picture above
But first things first, when I went to Dior I have learnt some valuable lessons on how to achieve natural glow and daily make up tricks.
You can also check out this post about the make up products that I use on a regular basis.

1. As you may know, before putting any kind of make up on our faces, we must take good care of our skin keeping it as healthy and clean as possible. Bear in mind, that make up is only for emphasizing our beauty and hiding our imperfections, not curing them. The skincare routine plays an important role therefore we need to remove any sort of make up at the end of the day (or sooner), cleanse, tone and hydrate. Besides the wonderful products that we can find on the market these days, nothing compares to a balanced and healthy diet, plenty of water and good-night sleep.
Pinky promise I will write a post about healthy eating based on my own experience in the next days.

2. After cleansing, toning and hydrating, Jade (local Dior make up artist) applied a very thin coat of primer on my face, followed by the wonderful Airflash foundation. It was the first time I have tried a spray foundation and I was really impressed by its silky texture and flawless finish. I usually use Forever or Nude Natural Glow, but I think I will give the Airflash foundation a try next time. On my cheeks, she applied the Nude glow powder which gives a light sun-kissed glow.
I wanted to try a new simple natural make up, easy and fast to do for two reasons: 1. this would be really useful for me as I will wear it everyday. As I've mentioned above I'm not a big fan of heavy make-up and 2. I tend to wear lighter make up during the summer.
For eyes, I've tried the eyeshadow palette in the picture below, Diorshow mascara and new Diorshow liquid pen eyeliner which is very precise and easy to use, perfect for beginners. Finally, I put Dior fluid stick on my lips and I was ready to go.

Thanks to Dior for this little gift. I usually use these products twice a week in order to prevent wrinkles or if I don't get my eight hour sleep I use one of these the next day. And yes, I consider that anti-ageing products are for preventing the wrinkles, not to completely remove them.

I'm buying this foundation over and over again. I'm at my forth bottle and still can't get enough of it, I think I will use it FOREVER. I switch it sometimes for the Nude Natural Glow though.

Also a clear skin requires a clean environment so keep your room nice, clean and organized.
Hope this helps!
Enjoy!

Strolling Around II

Well, this is not one of my best outfits, but for sure one of the most comfortable ones. We all know that fashion is never comfortable. But, as I said in the previous post, there's nothing more relaxing than roaming around a historical town surrounded by mountains in flats. In boiling hot days, even flats could be uncomfortable. How? If you're wearing leather ones that don't allow your skin to breath properly, your poor feet will swell. This is exactly what happen to me. What did I do? I just run to H&M and bought this super comfy pair of espadrilles. I would have preferred them in beige, but how could I be fussy when my feet were unhappy?
But what to wear after the sunset? Just wrap yourself in your boyfriend jacket, warm, big, comfy and always fresh scented.
Anyway, HAPPY 1st of June! According to the calendar, the long-awaied summer is officially here! YAY! What are your plans for this lovely season?
Enjoy!

By the way, the picture above was taken on the Rope Street, the tiniest street in the Eastern Europe. Yes, this actually a street. Crazy, right?
